There are a lot of scams out there for the employee looking for a virtual call center job. Please be aware of these and be careful — you should never have to PAY for a job. Companies that ask you to front $19.99 (or any other level of money) to prove your interest, to show your dedication, or to gain their information are a scam. There are valid ebooks out there and compiled listings, mind you, but these are different — these do not require that you pay up front to apply. Those ebooks that are out there with valid details are a source of information that are worth paying for — the difficulty is wading through the junk.
As I don’t have any ebook knowledge and have never purchased one, I can’t speak to details on which ebooks are worthwhile or not. I open the doors for any ebook group to send me a copy and I’ll review them for this blog.
Some companies that I am aware of that do hire virtual agents include:
- http://www.alpineaccess.com/ (an article written here about them: http://webworkerdaily.com/2008/01/10/new-way-of-working-alpine-access/)
There are certainly many others, but this is just a small listing.

Consider yourself taken up on the offer. Please email me at littlewhiteebook @ gmail.com to get a copy of our ebook on homeshoring jobs (and include the URL to your blog so I know it’s you!)
I’ve emailed Melissa and will be reviewing the ebook when I receive it. Pay attention to the blog in about a month — there should be a review up by that time! Thanks, Melissa.
