WHAT?!
This sounds strange, doesn’t it. You’ve seen their resume, you’re “ranked” higher than they are. Why should they see your resume?
My question is — why not? Does it matter? I’ll take a gander that, if they truly tried and had Internet savvy, they’d be able to find it or something similar without too much difficulty. Is there a reason that your employees shouldn’t see your resume?
How does this motivate them, you might ask…. the answer is simple: Respect.
Respect, both ways, allows for motivation. Being sincere when you compliment someone because you respect them makes them realize that you aren’t feeding them lines to get them to work better/harder/faster. In return, they will work better/harder/faster when they understand that you’re there for them and that you know what you’re doing. Your resume is one step to help them realize that, really, you’re in the right role. If your resume doesn’t show that you can handle it, then maybe you should reconsider your role?
